Joshua Higgason is a Video, Scene, light and interaction designer who designs unique Live experiences for theaters, concerts, operas and events. Most recently, he worked with Sven-Eric Bechtolf and Julian Crouch on" Hänsel und Gretel "at the Teatro alla Scala and" Mackie Messer – Eine Salzburger Dreigroschenoper " at the Salzburg Festival. He also worked with Julian Crouch on "Aging Magician" (light and Video). Other recent productions include Nico Muhlys " Control (Five Landscapes for Orchestra)" (Video and scenography); "Persona" (Video and light; Los Angeles Opera); "Acquanetta" (Video; New York City); "Powder Her Face" (New York City Opera) and Sufjan Stevens "Carrie and Lowell Tour 2015" (Video).
Over the years, Joshua Higgason worked with and for Sufjan Stevens, Jay Scheib, the Builders Association, Big Dance Theater, John Tiffany, Geoff Sobelle, Radiolab, Ira Glass, the Bang on a Can, Al Pacino, Theatre for One: Christine Jones, The Windmill Factory, MOMA, Carrie Mae Weems, Jim Findlay, Tony Dove, TED, Dr. Dog, JR JR Jr., Pig Iron Theatre, Candystations and Technical Artistry. He teaches Design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
