Jordi Brau Riera is a Spanish dubbing actor, born in Barcelona (Spain). He has a degree in Dramatic Arts in the specialty of Interpretation from the Theater Institute of Barcelona.
In the beginning he worked in theater with directors such as Josep Montanyés, Guillem Jordi Graells, Jordi Mesalles, Iago Pericot and Josep María Mestres. On television he worked with filmmakers such as Mercè Vilaret, Orestes Lara, Antoni Chic and Joan Bas and on film with Xavier Benlloch, Ventura Pons and Abel Folk.
Dedicated to dubbing since 1983, he doubles actors such as Sean Penn, Nicolas Cage, Kenneth Branagh, Dennis Quaid, Robin Williams, Tom Cruise, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Tom Hanks among others. He has folded 10 Oscar-winning roles: Tom Hanks in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot, Wells of Ambition and Lincoln, Sean Penn in Mystic River, Roberto Benigni in Life is Beautiful, Robin Williams in The Indomitable Will Hunting, Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote and Colin Firth in The King's Speech.
He is awarded by APEI, the Spanish Professional Association of Press, Radio and Television Reporters for his work as a voice actor. He has dubbed Javier Bardem in French in the movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona and in English Delta Airlines.
Throughout his career he has dubbed more than 600 films and television commercials.
