Johannes Harneit Tickets

Johannes Harneit in Hamburg ) is a German composer, conductor and pianist.

Johannes Harneit studied composition with Günther Friedrichs and György Ligeti and conducting with Klauspeter Seibel at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . During his studies, together with the Danish composer Matthias Ronnefeld, he designed series of programs on classical and modern music and directed numerous concerts at the Kampnagel venue in Hamburg. Harneit conducted world premieres at the Bavarian State Opera, Theater Bremen and at numerous music festivals and specialized in contemporary music and new music theater.

Harneit has been engaged as a conductor at national and international opera houses since the 1990s. From 1992 he was director of studies and Kapellmeister at the Oldenburg State Theater and from 1996 at the Wuppertal theaters and at the music theater in Gelsenkirchen . In the 2001/02 season he moved to the Hanover State Opera , where he worked as music director until 2006. Here conducted among others Luigi Nono's opera Under the great sun laden with love (director: Peter Konwitschny ). Harneit made guest appearances at the Theater Basel , at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice , at the German National Theater Weimar and at the Leipzig Opera House .
