About
Jesús Carmona, born in Barcelona in 1985, begins his training at age 7 in "La Macarena y el Niño de Morón". Bachelor of Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Institute of Theater and Dance of the capital of Barcelona in 2004. Enrich his studies with different courses and teachers such as Antonio Canales, Rafaela Carrasco, Manolete, Eva Yerbabuena, Aida Gómez and other great dance masters Spanish and flamenco
He has been awarded the Desplante Prize of the Festival of Mines of the Union 2012, the Prize for the Best Outstanding Dancer of the 20th Spanish and Flamenco Dance Competition of Madrid in 2011. Nominated for the 2012 Dancer Stage Award (Seville). In 2013 he won the 2nd prize at the national flamenco festival in Córdoba and in 2014 he obtained a nomination for the MAX awards as best principal dancer.
He made his professional debut at the Teatro Zorrilla with the Orchestra of the Liceu Theater in Barcelona at the young age of 14.
From this moment he began his professional career as part of different companies, Nuevo Ballet Español, Carmen Cortes, El Güito, Manolete, Antonio Canales and Rafael Amargo. Throughout these years he participates in works such as “Alborada del Gracioso” (Master Barn), Blows of Life ”(BNE, José Antonio and Rafael Campallo),“ Ritmos ”(Alberto Lorca) standing out in each of them for his work, technique, style and his own art as evidenced by criticism.
In his passage through these companies, works such as his step to two with Lola Greco and his Soleá can be highlighted in the show of José Greco. With Carmen Cortes, soloist with Isaac de los Reyes and Carmen Cortes y Guadiana herself. In the company of Antonio Canales, La Sangre de Oedipus soloist along with Adela Campallo and Lola Greco. With Olga Pericet, as a guest artist dancing her Solea.
The year 2006 is a very important year in his professional life as he presents his show "The Silence of the Moon" with a great reception from the public and critics. And that same year all his effort, dedication and talent were recognized by being chosen to be part of the National Ballet of Spain as "First Dancer" of the Company.
During 2010 and 2011 he participates and collaborates with the Dance in different ways, courses and Masterclass in different countries: India, Holland, France, Italy, etc ..., as a guest artist on the Rojas and Rodriguez tour of Asia and with the BNE in "Heart of Green Stone". That same year he also intervened as a guest artist at Cía. of Pastora Galván.
