Janus Torp was born in Berlin.
He is studying acting at the Otto Falckenberg School Munich in the fourth year. He appeared at the local production time to die dear time to die, which was awarded the Ensemble Prize at the acting school meeting 2018 in Graz. Other productions in which he played were u. a. Liederabend Herzenslust - where to wear your feet ..., Dostoyevsky trip to the Munich Kammerspiele and winter fairy tales, directed by Robert Wilson and Richard III, directed by Claus Peymann at the Berliner Ensemble. He also worked several times as a spokesman for Deutschlandradio Kultur. In the role of Juan de Regla in Ernst Krenek's Charles V, he made his debut in the season 2018/19 at the Bavarian State Opera.
