Jan Joris Lamers (Amsterdam, 25 March 1942) is a Dutch playwright, stage director, stage designer, graphic artist.
Jan Joris Lamers attended the Amsterdamse Toneelschool from 1960 to 1962 as an actor training and directing training at the same school from 1966 to 1969. During and after his training he did various national and international internships. He then gave lessons and lectures at the Amsterdam National School for Art Teachers (academy class) and at the Amsterdam Rijksakademie. Lamers was involved in the creation of various theater companies: Het Werkteater in 1969, Independent Theater in 1971, Maatschappij Discordia in 1981, Belgian Dutch Repertoire Association de Vere in 1992 and the cooperative Dertien Rijen in 2006.
