Iordache Basalic has been a soloist of the Bucharest National Opera since 1995. Finalist of the first edition of the "Hariclea Darclée" National Singing Competition in Braila, in the same year, Iordache Basalic was awarded the special prize of the "Hariclea Darclée" Foundation at the first edition. international competition of the same competition, in 1997. In 1998, he won the award for best soloist of the year for the role of Giorgio Germont in the show "La traviata" by G. Verdi, awarded by the magazine "Actualitatea musicale".
In 1999 he was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the "Hariclea Darclée" International Singing Competition in Brăila, and in 2002 he won the casting for the opera "Macbeth" by Giuseppe Verdi at the Spoleto Festival.
Baritone Iordache Basalic has toured internationally in England, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Germany, Italy, Japan, Bulgaria, Denmark, Holland, Thailand.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with many lyrical theaters in the country and abroad, such as the Romanian Opera in Cluj, the Romanian National Opera in Timişoara, the Brasov Opera, the Elena Teodorini Lyric Theater in Craiova, the "Nae Leonard" Music Theater in Galaţi, National Opera and Ballet Theater "Oleg Danovski" from Constanta, State Philharmonic "Moldova" from Iasi, Concertgebouw - Amsterdam, De Doelen - Rotterdam, Chasse Theater - Breda, Bunkamura Theater - Tokyo etc.
Throughout his career, Iordache Basalic has sung with big names in the international lyric scene, such as Agnes Baltsa, Mario Malagnini, Elena Mosuc, Igor Borko, Alberto Rinaldi, Luis Lima and has toured in Europe and Asia.
