Overview

Praised by European and American media as "an impeccable violin master", "surpassing all her rivals" and "the most important new violinist of our time", Yang Tianwa has been performing and recording around the world in recent years, and has received rave reviews.

She once won the ECHO Klassik (the predecessor of the German Classical Music Award) Violinist of the Year Award with the album "Ysaÿe: Sonatas for Unaccompanied Violin". The six unaccompanied violin sonatas by Eugen Ysaÿe, a representative of the Franco-Belgian violin school, are dedicated to six great violinists. The works inherit the violin ideas of Bach and Paganini, becoming the greatest unaccompanied violin sonata after Bach's "Little Unaccompanied", and are also extremely difficult pieces that are rarely heard in concerts and are awe-inspiring. Since its debut in the last century, it has been one of the highest tests of violinists' skills and art.
