Overview

On October 27, Kramer will return to the Xinghai Concert Hall with the Baltic Chamber Orchestra after 12 years.

He will collaborate with his partner pianist, Georgijs Osokins, who once attracted attention in the Chopin Piano Competition, to present representative works of Piazzolla and others to the Guangzhou audience, recreating the spirit of the times and innovative interpretation of Maestro Kramer and the orchestra.

Among the most famous violin masters of the last century, Gidon Kremer is a well-known name. As early as the 1960s, he had conquered the three major competitions that young violinists dream of. In the short period of 1967-1970, he won the grand prizes of the three major violin competitions, including the most famous Queen Elizabeth Competition, Paganini Competition and Tchaikovsky Competition. Over the years, he has worked with masters who have gathered all the most prominent names in the classical music world, including many years of close cooperation with the "piano priestess" Argerich. Kremer rose to prominence in the international music scene in the 1970s when the record industry was most developed. He recorded more than 100 records and won countless awards.
