Igor Gnidii was born in Moldova to Ukrainian parents. He trained at the State Conservatory of Odessa, then at the Queen Sofia School of Music in Madrid, where he worked with Tom Krause and Manuel Cid. He enters the Lyric Workshop of the Paris National Opera, then participates in the European Academy of Music in Aix-en-Provence. He made his debut in Odessa as Enrico Asthon (Lucia di Lammermoor), Germont (La Traviata), Schaunard (La Boheme), Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana), Eugene Onegin. He won numerous awards in Spain and gave recitals, notably with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra. With Atelier Lyrique, he participated in the world premiere of Blinds by Xavier Dayer. He made his debut on the stage of the Paris Opera in La Traviata (Marquis d'Obigny). He collaborates with directors like Robert Carsen, Gilbert Deflo, Francesca Zambello, Giancarlo Del Monaco, Christoph Marthaler ... and sings under the direction of Alain Altinoglu, Sylvain Cambreling, Jeffrey Tate, Marc Albrecht, Daniel Oren, Pinchas Steinberg ...

He is also famous in a more contemporary repertoire with Stravinsky's Les Nozes, Turandot de Busoni, Wozzeck, Billy Budd ... We could hear him in The Marriage of Figaro (Count Almaviva) at the Graz Opera House, Love of the three oranges (Pantalone), Khovantchina, Bohemian (Schaunard), Rusalka (the Forester) at the Paris Opera, La Fanciulla del West at the Monte-Carlo Opera (Sid) and at the Paris National Opera (Bello), Iolanta (Robert) and Francesca da Rimini by Rachmaninov (The Shadow of Virgil) at the Nancy Opera House, Falstaff (Ford) at the Auditorium of the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Turandot (Ping) in Rome, Faust (Valentin) in Leipzig, The Dream of a Summer Night (Demetrius) in Metz, La Traviata (Giorgio Germont) in Toulon, I Capuleti ei Montecchi (Capellio) in Bergen, Pagliacci ( Tonio) in Lisbon, Rigoletto (Marullo) to the Chorégies d'Oranges.
