Hugo Marchand, born December 7, 1993 in Nantes is a French dancer, star at the Paris Opera Ballet.
2007 : After winning the First Prize at the CNR in Nantes he enters the Paris Opera Ballet School.
2011 : He joins the Corps de ballet at the age of 18.
2014 : "Coryphée". Bronze medal at the Varna International Dance competition.
2015 : "Sujet". Cercle Carpeaux Prize. AROP Dance Prize. Nominated for the Benois de la Danse Prize.
2016 : "Premier danseur".
2017 : Benois de la Danse Prize, "best dancer" category.
He dances in Violin Concerto, (Balanchine), Pas. / parts (Forsythe), Tar and Feathers, Symphonie de Psaumes (Kylián), James / La Sylphide (Lacotte after Taglioni), Des Grieux / L’Histoire de Manon(MacMillan), L’Anatomie de la sensation (McGregor), Pas de trois / Le Lac des cygnes, Drosselmeyer - Le Prince / The Nutcracker, Solor / La Bayadère, Roméo / Romeo et Juliette (Nureyev), Les Variations Goldberg (Robbins).
Following a performance of La Sylphide (Lacotte, after Taglioni) in which he perfoms the role of James on the stage of the Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo (Japan) on 3 March 2017, he is named "Étoile".
He has since added to his repertoire:
