About

Born in Havana, he began his studies of music, song and lyrical repertoire, at the Higher Institute of Art of that city and in 1996 he continued his studies of singing and repertoire in Chile, a country where he has resided since then and in which he acquired in 2005 his current Chilean nationality.

For 9 years he belonged to the choir of the Municipal Theater of Santiago de Chile, the same venue where he made his solo debut in 2003.

He has developed his solo career mostly in South America singing in the main theaters of Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru.

Within his lyrical repertoire in Opera, as a baritone, he has played the following roles: El Holandes, Jochanaan, Scarpia, Nabucco, Escamillo, Amonasro, Sergeant (from the Chilean opera White Wind), Don Pizarro, Sharpless, Schaunard and Monterone.

As under: Felipe II, Silva, Attila, Zaccaria, Banquo, Jacopo Loredano, the 4 villains of Hoffmann, Mephistophèlés, Nourabad, Raimondo, Timur, Alidoro and Don Basilio.

His Symphonic-Coral repertoire includes the Requiem of Verdi, Grand Mass in C minor and Requiem of Mozart, Stabat Mater de Dvorak and 9th Beethoven Symphony.

He is currently doing his musical preparation with the outstanding pianists Jorge Hevia in Chile and Eduviges Picone in Argentina.
