Helena Zubanovich studied singing in Katowice / Poland and in Hamburg, whereupon she made her debut at the Bytom Theater.
In 2000 she moved from soprano to mezzo soprano. Engagements led u. a. to the opera houses of Prague, Warsaw, Vienna, Montpellier, Oslo, Beijing, Essen, Dusseldorf, Seville, Caen, Palermo and Catania. Her repertoire includes parts such as Amneris (Aida), Ulrica (Un Ballo in Maschera), Azucena (Il trovatore), Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana), Sexton (Jenůfa), Herodias (Salome) and the title role in Carmen. Since 2015 she has been a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera. As a concert singer she performed in Salzburg, Hamburg, Seoul and Zurich.
