Heike Steinbrecher, born in Leverkusen, studied at the Musikhochschule Köln with Prof.
Christian Schneider. After six years working in the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, she was engaged in 1998 as a solo cor anglaisist of the Bavarian State Orchestra. She is a founding member of the KKISS Wind Quintet of the Bavarian State Orchestra and since 2012 professor for oboe and cor anglais at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg.
