Hans-Günter Brodmann (born September 22, 1955 in Schönwald (Bavaria)) is a German drummer in jazz and contemporary chamber music.

From 1978 to 1984 Brodmann studied classical drums with Hermann Schwander at the Meistersinger-Konservatorium Nürnberg, the later Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg. From 1987 he taught there as a teacher for drumset and is the initiator and in 1991 co-founder of the jazz department. Since 2012 Brodmann is professor for jazz drums at the Nuremberg Music Academy.

Brodmann is a founding member of the percussion quartet CABAZA, with which he released five albums at classic production osnabrück and undertook concert tours to Hungary, Austria, Poland and Japan as well as u. a. at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival or at Musica Viva.

In 1987, his drum quartet for 6 tom-toms and bass drum, Greetings to Hermann, appeared at the music publisher Zimmermann.

Brodmann toured with jazz musicians such as Chris Speed, Frank Möbus, Rudi Mahall, John Fink, Helmut Kagerer, Pierre Favre, Joe Fonda, Herb Geller, Norbert Nagel, Jeanne Carroll († 2011), Jürgen Seefelder, Roberto di Gioia, Henning Sieverts or Ted Piltzecker. He had appearances u. a. at the festival Jazz Ost-West or the Ingolstadt jazz days, but also at the Kuwait Jazz Festival.

In addition, he has participated in concerts and productions with symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles such. B. Philharmonie Pécs, Philharmonic Neubrandenburg, Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, with the KlangKonzepteEnsemble of the Neue Pegnitzschäfer and the Pocket Opera Company. He also worked as a theater musician and composer at the Meininger Staatstheater, at the Residenztheater (Munich) and at the Stadttheater Fürth.
