Dutch pianist Hans Eijsackers was born in The Hague, Holland. He won the first edition of the Rotterdam 3-Day Piano Competition and the Princess Christina Competition when he was only 13 years old. He was winner of the European Piano Competition in 1991 in Luxembourg also winning its Special Prize for the best song accompaniment.

Hans studied with Koos Bons, Gerard van Blerk, Jan Wijn and György Sebök. In 1992 he graduated at the Sweelinck Conservatory of Music in Amsterdam. In 1994 he was invited to enter a special programme at the Mozart Academy in Krakow. This resulted in recitals in Poland, Budapest, Cornwall, Asia and New York.

He is Professor of “Liedgestaltung” at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and teaches chambermusic at the Royal Academy of The Hague. Next to this Hans Eijsackers performs as soloist, chamber musician and song accompanist. He toured Italy, Russia and the Far East ( Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan). In 1993, as well as 1994 he received the medal of the Friends of the Concertgebouw.

As part of the Concertgebouw “Rising Stars” programme, Hans played in Wigmore Hall, London, the Musikverein, Vienna and Carnegie Hall, New York .

His recordings of the clarinetsonatas by Reger and by Brahms with Lars Wouters van den Oudenweijer got international acclaim and the cd ‘Auf einer Burg’ with Henk Neven was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2012 their CD, “The Sea”, with songs by Schubert, Debussy, and Fauré was released., and BBC brought out their recording of Schubert’s Winterreise as ‘CD of the month’.

Hans regularly appears in European Festivals like Dubrovnik, Proms and Holland Festival and was artistic director of the Uitgast Festival in Lelystad (The Netherlands).  He was also invited to give concerts, masterclasses and lectures in Surabaya, Indonesia. 
Recently Hans performed piano concertos by Brahms en Martinu with the Schumann Philharmonie in Chemnitz and the Dutch Chamber Orchestra next to numerous appearances with baritone Henk Neven in the UK, the Netherlands, Austria and France. Recently he started a succesfull project together with noted mezzosoprano Christianne Stotijn with theatrical concerts in Belgium and Holland.
