Giuseppe Russo Rossi collaborates with the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra in Milan and recently made his debut as a soloist with the ORT under the direction of Gabriele Ferro performing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante flanked by Marco Rizzi's violin, held an important recital broadcast live on Rai Radio 3 Suites and took part in chamber music concerts with famous artists such as Salvatore Accardo, Bruno Giuranna, Antonio Meneses, Laura De Fusco, Mariana Sirbu, the Cremona Quartet and the first parts of the Berliner Philarmoniker. He also performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante alongside Salvatore Accardo with the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the Concerto for viola and orchestra "Der Schwanendreher" by Paul Hindemith with the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra and recitals broadcast live for the Prague National Radio and the Irish National Radio.

Born in Bari in 1983, Giuseppe Russo Rossi graduated at the age of seventeen in violin and viola with the highest honors honors at the Conservatory of his city under the guidance of C. Scarpati and M. Lomartire. Subsequently he received his high school diploma from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with the highest marks and honors, receiving the scholarship reserved for the best graduates of the Academy and winning the Sinopoli Award sponsored by the Presidency of the Republic. On that occasion received the award from the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
Giuseppe Russo Rossi studied piano at the N. Piccinni Conservatory under the guidance of Professor M. Liso and Modern Letters at the University of Bari. He lectured for the chair of Latin Literature at the University of Bari on the parallelism between Miles Gloriosus of Plautus and The Rat from the Mozart Seraglio.
Giuseppe Russo Rossi continued his musical studies at the Russian Conservatory of Music S. Rachmaninoff in Paris and at the Hochschule der Kunste in Bern, obtaining the Master of Arts Specialized Music Performance (Solisten Diplom) with full marks and parallel in Italy at the Academies of Portogruaro, Fiesole, Biella, Chigiana di Siena (Diploma of Honor in 2004), W. Stauffer of Cremona and Imola.
Winner of numerous competitions (including Vittorio Veneto, National Arts Award with Uto Ughi in the jury "for refinement, beauty of sound and musicality", Società Umanitaria di Milano, EUYO in 2004 as the only Italian violist, Palmi, Castrocaro Classica-Best Graduates of Italy, International Ibla Grand Prize, Accademia dei Concordi, Geminiani Prize of Verona) he was awarded the F. Gulli Prize for "interpretive maturity, instrumental charm, communicative talent". In 2009, in a duo with pianist Keiko Watanabe, he was awarded at the V. Gui International Competition in Florence. In the same year he won the International Viola Competition of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. It is the winner of Nuove Carriere 2006 organized by CIDIM of Rome.
Giuseppe Russo Rossi has collaborated, covering the role of first viola, with the Italian Chamber Orchestra of Salvatore Accardo and with the Chamber musicians of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
In 2005 Giuseppe Russo Rossi held an important recital broadcast live on Rai Radio3 Suite and presented as "virtuosity, fascination with sound, communicative talent".
Made his debut as a soloist with the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany under the direction of Gabriele Ferro performing Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante alongside Marco Rizzi's violin. His last appointments saw him as the protagonist of successful recitals in Japan (Philia Hall, Aoyama Music Hall, Kyoto, Yokohama, Tokyo) and in Turkey (Konser Salonu of Istanbul) and performed "Contro un cor" by G. Rossini in the guise of soloist and conductor with the Teatro alla Scala Chamber Orchestra of Milan.
With the Sinfonie Orchester of Biel (Switzerland) Giuseppe Russo Rossi performed the Romanza op. 85 for Viola and Orchestra by M. Bruch and he again performed "Contro un cor" by G. Rossini with the Orchestra dei Musici di Parma.
He also played under the direction of D.Barenboim, V.Gergiev, G.Dudamel, D.Harding, R. Ticciati, F.Luisi, R.Chailly, N.Luisotti, G.Bertini, D.Gatti, D.Renzetti , KSChung, R. Muti.
In the spring of 2012 Giuseppe Russo Rossi performed the Bartòk Concerto with the HKB Symphonie Orchester of Berne under the direction of C. Warren-Green and in June 2012 "Against a Cor" and "I was born to the distress-No more sad" by Rossini with the Camerata Bern under the direction of M. Wendeberg.
