Giorgi Mtchedlishvili was born in 1991 in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. In 2012 he graduated from the Z. Paliashvili Central Music School in Tbilisi. He was a fellow of the State Conservatory of Wano-Sarajevo in Tbilisi in 2015 and 2016, where he graduated in 2018. In 2016 he took lessons with Teresa Berganza, Giacomo Aragall and Natela Nicoli. Giorgi Mtchedlishvili was awarded several prizes in the course of his career, including the first place of the Italian "Don Matteo Colucci"competition, an Honor award for the "Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition" and a place in the final of the Accademia Belcanto singing competition in Graz. Previous Engagements included the role of Marcello in Puccini's "La Bohème" at the Staatliche Wano-Saradschischwili-Konservatorium, the Count Almaviva in Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Staatliche Sacharia-Paliaschwili-Theater für Oper und ballets, where he also played the role of Figaro in "Il barbiere di Sevilla" by Rossini, Belcore in Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore", Paolo Albiani in Verdi's "Boccanegra" and the role of Mandarin in Puccini's "Turandot" sang. Since the 2018/19 season, Giorgi Mtchedlishvili has been a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden as a fellow of the Liz Mohn cultural and Music Foundation.
