Gianluca Marciano was born on September 17, 1976. He was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy. 

Gianluca Marciano is an Italian conductor whose career spans opera, symphony music, and even his own compositions.

 Born in 1976 in Calabria, Italy. Since childhood, he was fond of music, starting out as a pianist. He graduated from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied piano, composition and conducting. Later he improved his skills at the St. Petersburg Conservatory under the legendary teacher Ilya Musin, whose school influenced such maestros as Gergiev and Temirkanov.
  

 He made his debut as a conductor in the 2000s. He has worked with major opera houses: Teatro San Carlo (Naples), La Scala (Milan), Teatro Regio (Turin). In the UK, he collaborated with Opera Holland Park, where he was praised for his vivid productions of Puccini's Tosca and Madame Butterfly. 

 He has conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Symphony Orchestra of Iceland, the Oslo Philharmonic and others. 

From 2014 to 2018, he was Artistic Director of the Zagreb Opera House, where he updated the repertoire and attracted international attention. He has also been a guest conductor at Russian theaters, including the Mariinsky Theatre.

 He often performs at festivals such as the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and collaborates with young musicians to support new talents.

 Marciano is a master of Italian opera. His interpretations of Verdi (La Traviata, Rigoletto), Puccini (La Boheme, Turandot\ ) and Donizetti are distinguished by their dramatic, precise and supportive singers. In symphonic music, he performs both classics (Beethoven, Tchaikovsky) and lesser-known works of the 20th century. His energetic style and charisma make him stand out on stage.

He writes chamber music and works for piano, sometimes performing them himself. His compositions reflect the influence of the Italian tradition and the Russian school.

 Known for his passion for teaching, he conducts master classes for conductors and vocalists. He lives between Italy and London and remains active in the international music scene.
