Giancarlo Pavan, eclectic musician, well-known Italian jazz bass player among the most popular in his career since 1980, but performer of early music, conductor, arranger and composer. He has trodden the most prestigious stages in the world as a jazz musician and classical musician, playing with important groups, soloists and celebrities from the international scene. He has recorded over 70 records and participated in over a thousand concerts.
Lecturer at the Conservatory of Padua, since 2006 he has dedicated himself as a singer and songwriter to important communication projects, especially of the spiritual values of man. His first album in this area "The Days of Creation" based on the texts of Genesis has been very successful and has seen numerous performances also in theatrical form, particularly in the educational and scholastic field. With the Sardinian flautist Daniele Pasini in April 2010 he recorded as a pianist the album "MUSIC IN PENTECOST DAY", an exquisite essay of stylistically transversal improvisation, ideally embracing the contemporary classical, ancient and modern jazz culture. In this same year he published his second work as songwriter entitled "Per TE solo io canto" with 13 richly arranged songs and original lyrics. He carries out most of his productive activity at his DOMUSARTSTUDIO in Padua, where he produces music and multimedia communication products for himself and for others. Photography has always been his passion along with the mountains, hiking and above all mountaineering.
