Giacomo Prestia is an Italian operatic bass.

He made his debut with ALZIRA di Verdi in Fidenza in 1991. Since then, he has embarked on a brilliant career that saw him protagonist on the biggest stages in the world: Teatro alla Scala, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Opera National de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zurich, Teatro Real de Madrid, Liceu de Barcelona, the two theatres in Berlin, Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires, the Teatro comunale in Bologna, San Carlo of Naples, the Philharmonic of Berlin with the famous orchestra of Berlin, the Teatro Regio di Parma, Massimo of Palermo. In the course of his career he has collaborated with Claudio Abbado, Myung-Whun Chung, Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Gianandrea Noseda, George Pretre, Renato Palumbo, Daniele Gatti, Daniel Barenboim, Daniel Oren and Nello Santi, Bruno Campanella, Maurizio Benini, Michele Mariotti, Jader Bignamini, Francesco Pasqualetti, Alain Altinoglu.
