Gehan Cooray was born on October 6, 1987 in Colombo, Sri Lanka as Gehan Ranga Cooray Arasaratnam. He is an actor and producer, known for The Billionaire, The Land of Oz (2015) and Popping the Question (2014).
Following the British system of education, Gehan completed his G.C.E Advanced Level Examination at St. Joseph's College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which is where he schooled. His A Level subjects included French, English Literature and Drama and Theatre.
Classically trained Baritone.
USC School of Theatre Alum. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern California, in May 2009. Minored in Cinema-Television and Psychology.
Sang the role of the Count in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" in Colombo, Sri Lanka, while directing the production of this opera. [September 2010]
