Gabriel Bermúdez Rodríguez (Madrid, November 4, 1975) is a Spanish baritone.
Gabriel Bermúdez was born in Madrid in 1975 within a family strongly linked to the world of opera. He studied first at the Superior School of Singing, having as a teacher his mother, Carmen Rodríguez Aragón and later at the Reina Sofia School of Music with Teresa Berganza.
His career has been closely linked to the Zurich Opernhaus, but he has also sung at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, at the Staatsoper in Hannover, at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Villamarta Theater in Jerez, Saint Moritz Festival, Campoamor Theater of Oviedo, Theater Winterthur, Teatro Calderón de Valladolid and Opéra Bastille de París. In concert he has performed at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Tonhalle in Zurich, Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, National Music Auditorium in Madrid, Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Arriaga Theater in Bilbao, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Cité de la Musique and Châtelet de Paris and Royal Festival Hall in London.
He has been awarded by Ópera Actual1 magazine with the Promesa de la Lírica award in 2005 and in 2007 he received the Teatro Lírico Campoamor Prize, as a revelation singer.
