About

The soprano Friederike Mauß was born in Augsburg. In 2015 she graduated with distinction at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg. She gained stage experience at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, at the Musiktheater in the district of Gelsenkirchen, at the Marktgrafentheater Erlangen, Neumarkt, Augsburg, Montepulciano and at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. She is a laureate of the "Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques - Montreal Competition".
 

Furthermore, she became a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin organization "Live Music Now" and received the "Richard Wagner Scholarship". In 2014 she sang as a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association the festival concert in the "Harpa" concert hall Reykjavik. As part of the opera festival of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, she was engaged in 2015 for the production "Jeptha's Daughter". In 2016 she received the scholarship of the International Bach Academy Stuttgart and was auditioned by Hans-Christoph Rademann in the B minor Mass. This year she sang as a soloist, in Herkulessaal Munich, with the symphony orchestra Wilde Gungl Mendelsohns Lobgesang.

At the moment Friederike Mauß can be heard as Helene in Haydn's opera "Die Welt auf dem Mond" with the Munich Chamber Opera at Schloss Nymphenburg and other guest appearances.

She has received important musical and artistic impulses in recent years. in masterclasses by Rudolf Piernay, Wolfgang Rieger, Helmut Deutsch, Lioba Braun and most recently by Josef Loibl.
