Born in 1994, François PINEAU-BENOIS discovered and immediately became passionate about violin at the age of four, joined the CNSMDP at the age of 14, and obtained his Master's degree in violin performance at the age of 19. He is pursuing a master's degree in chamber music obtained in 2017, while continuing to improve at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris with Régis Pasquier.
Laureate 2017 of the Banque Populaire Foundation, he has won First Prizes in several competitions: the Alexander Glazunov International Competition (2017), the Ravel Academy Ciboure Prize (2015), the Young Artist Award of the international competition Leopold Mozart (2013), "Musicians between two wars" and Rotary / Lion's awards from Ravel Academy (2013), Vatelot-Rampal competition (2006).
An outstanding musician followed by a growing audience, he is invited to perform with various partners in duo, trio, quartet, with organ, and as a soloist several times with the Irkutsk Philharmonic Orchestra, the Festival Orchestra of Jerusalem, the Tauride Palace Orchestra of St. Petersburg, or the Massy Opera Orchestra in 2019.
France Musique invited him to play Prokofiev live in 2017 and the Kreutzer Sonata in 2018. He plays the violin "Le Genève" by Lucien Durosoir.
