Since 1999 Francesco Lattuada has been a permanent member of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala and since 2007 also of the homonymous Philharmonic.

 

Husband of the violinist Elisa Citterio. He graduated with full marks at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan in violin under the guidance of Wanda Luzzato and Gigino Maestri and in viola with M. Emanuele Beschi. Francesco Lattuada followed the specialization course held by M. Danilo Rossi. With lensemble "Il Giardino Armonico" he performed in the most important musical festivals (Music and poetry in St. Maurice, Fetival in Bruges, Bach Tage in Berlin, Meisterkonzerte in Bregenz, Ojl Hall in Tokyo, Society of the Milan Quartet), and has received numerous discographic awards (choc du monde de la musique, 10 de repertoire, diapason d'or, gramophone 1996 award). He has worked as first viola with various chamber orchestras including Europa Galante, Milano Classica, Accademia Bizantina, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Tatro Regio of Turin, Cappella Musicale of S. Petronio of Bologna, Baroque Ensemble of Limoges, I Filarmonici. As a soloist Francesco Lattuada has performed in numerous recitals and accompanied by prestigious orchestras such as: Orchestra of the Angelicum Theater, Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano and Symphonic Orchestra of the RAI of Milan. In 1995 won the first viola audition in the "G. Verdi" Symphony Orchestra of Milan, in 1996 won the prestigious "Scholarship for Young Violists" offered by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Scala, in 1997 the Competition for first viola at the Regional Orchestra of Emilia Romagna "A. Toscanini" of Parma and in 1999 the competition for viola at the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra where Francesco Lattuada joined the permanent staff. He has numerous recordings and television recordings with: Rai-Tv, Orf, Rsi, Teldec, Astre'e, Opus III, Naxos, Tactus, Amadeus, Stradivarius, France 2.
