About

François Rougier studied singing at the Conservatoire de Grenoble with Paul Guigue and Cécile Fournier. He is perfecting today with soprano Sophie Marin-Degor. In 2011, he is the winner of the 22nd Clermont-Ferrand International Singing Competition and finalist of the 18th International Concours d'opera and mélodie française of Mâcon's Autumn Symphonies.

In 2013, he took part in the first Académie de l'Opéra Comique. He made his stage debut in 2006 as Platée in The Frog Game with Mirella Giardelli and the Atelier des Musicians du Louvre-Grenoble.
With the same team, he is Ferrando in The School of lovers after Cosi fan tutte. Between 2007 and 2014, he participated in several productions of the company The Brigands and played in particular the role of Fritz in The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein at the Athenee Theater.
In 2012, he was Cecco in Haydn's Il Mondo della luna at the Théâtre Mouffetard and in 2014 Guido in La Chatte metamorphosed into a woman at the Musée d'Orsay in the staging of Alexandra Lacroix. From then on, he made a commitment to her within the Compagnie Manque Pas d'Airs for the realization of a scenic triptych according to the Passions of Bach (And the rooster sang ..., Others the slapped him created in 2014 and 2015 and Incarnation of the invisible to come in 2017). He is regularly invited to sing the oratorio repertoire (Passions, Messe en si, Bach's Magnificat, Paulus de Mendelssohn, Handel's Messiah). Recently, she was heard in the Mass in C of Beethoven at the Capitol of Toulouse, with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra for the Christmas Oratorio of Saint-Saëns, at the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon in the air of the Passion according to St. John under the direction of Michel Corboz.
In addition, he has performed at the Maison de la culture in Nevers and at the House of Poetry alongside writer Célia Houdart for a reading-recital after his novel Gil.
