Overview

Vienna Royal Orchestra presents Vienna Sounds, its 2027 New Year Concert – Strauss waltzes and polkas, Swan Lake and Carmen, and Chinese favourites, all the way to the Radetzky March.

The evening is built on the Strauss family’s best-loved music – the overture to Die Fledermaus, Voices of Spring, the Emperor Waltz, The Blue Danube and the Thunder and Lightning Polka – alongside world-famous orchestral hits: Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake suite, Rossini’s Barber of Seville overture, Offenbach’s Can-Can and Bizet’s Carmen overture.

Chinese classics such as Jasmine Flower, The Butterfly Lovers and Spring Festival Overture are heard in symphonic arrangements, and the night ends, just as Vienna’s own New Year’s Concert does, with the Radetzky March.
