The orchestra and choir of the Tyrolean Festival Erl will open the summer season on July 6, 2023 with works by Rchard Wagner, Giuseppe Verdi and Anton Bruckner. Wagner is then represented in the opera program with the third and fourth operas from the Ring des Nibelungen. There is also a series of chamber concerts with the Camerata Salzburg, Konstantin Krimmel or Oskar Hillebrandt with Ildiko Raimondi and others, as well as events in which words, music and performative play: the actress Martina Gedeck appears with the Schumann Quartet, for example, the puppeteer Nikolaus Habjan with Franui. Last but not least, the Vienna Boys' Choir brings classic Viennese singing to Erl, while Christian Muthspiel and the Orjazztra Vienna stroll the jazz side of the street. The exact program can be found on the website of the Tyrolean Festival Erl.

About the Tyrolean Festival Erl

The Tyrolean Festspiele Erl has made a name for itself in the past twenty years and has received acclaim far beyond the country’s borders. Far removed from the big cities, an orchestra has come about in the midst of the most beautiful natural surroundings; one that is unrivaled. The Kaiser mountains become the backdrop for the big performance in the Festspielhaus and in the Passionsspielhaus. These unusual architectural black and white buildings create one unique ensemble that towers above the lush landscape.
