About
The Kittsee Summer Festival once again dug into the magic box and brought out a piece whose title melody almost everyone knows "Oh my papa was a wonderful clown...". The memory of the voices of Freddy Quinn, Lilly Palmer, Margot Werner, Connie Francis, or Lys Assia immediately comes to mind.

The grandstand of the Kittsee Summer Festival offers space for 400 visitors. This guarantees a family atmosphere in which you feel particularly comfortable.
The open-air evenings are framed by the culinary park, where local specialties are offered in a cozy atmosphere. After the performances, you can often even chat with the artists.
About the Kittsee Summer Festival
Kittsee Summer Festival takes place at the Castle Kittsee with artistic director, Christian Buchmann, putting on opera and operetta productions every summer.
This open-air festival is a favorite of culture lovers, not only because of the magical setting (the stage is situated between the wings of the castle building, opposite the public gallery) and the top-class lineup, but also because of the pleasant atmosphere with its “village in the park” offering culinary delights.

Castle Kittsee, a remarkable building that dates back to the early 18th century, lies hidden behind high walls in the middle of a magnificent park.
The charming baroque appearance is the result of renovations by László Batthyány, who had the entire building constructed from the original Meierhof in the 19th century. The “marriage” of old and new is as successful today as it was back then, not least due to the beautiful gardens.
