About the International festival of Mstislav Rostropovich
Mstislav Leopoldovich Rostropovich - outstanding Russian cellist, pianist, conductor and teacher, who largely determined the level of performing the art that musicians are striving for today. The festival named after him was founded in 2010 by the Fund for Cultural and Humanitarian Programs of M. L. Rostropovich, with the support of the Government of Moscow and the Ministry of Culture Russian Federation to perpetuate the memory of a musician. The artistic director of the show, Olga Rostropovich, maintains his consistently high level, a congenial personality of the maestro.
