Felix Mildenberger is Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Symphonieorchester Crescendo Freiburg, which he co-founded in 2014, and had a teaching position for Orchestral Conducting at the University of Music Freiburg from 2015 until 2017. Since 2017 he has been Conducting Fellow with the Dirigentenforum of the German Music Council and with the “Akademie Musiktheater heute” of the Deutsche Bank Stiftung.
Being supported and mentored by conductors such as Paavo Järvi, Sir Simon Rattle, François-Xavier Roth, Gianandrea Noseda, Emmanuel Krivine and Gerhard Markson, Felix Mildenberger has already worked with many orchestras both on national and international level. Among these are the Orchestre National de France, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra de Cadaqués, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Halle, the Nürnberger Symphoniker, the Thüringer Symphoniker, the Heidelberger Philharmoniker, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau, and others.
During the 2018/2019 season, Felix Mildenberger is making his debuts with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan, the St. Petersburg State Capella Symphony Orchestra, the Magdeburger Philharmoniker, the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen, and others. Besides, he returns to the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and continues his collaboration with the Orchestre National de France, since his contract as Assistant Conductor has been extended. In September 2018, Felix Mildenberger stepped in at short notice for Augustin Dumay to Conduct a subscription concert with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra in Osaka, Japan. Besides, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam invited him as Assistant and Cover Conductor for Bernard Haitink in January 2019.
Highlights of the 2019/20 Season will include debuts with the Orchestre National de Lille, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Hamburger Camerata, the Ensemble Modern, the Aarhus Symfoniorkester, and a concert during the Salzburger Mozartwoche 2020, as well as reinvitations to the Belgrade Philharmonic and the St. Petersburg State Capella Symphony Orchestra and others. He will also continue his collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra.
