Die Fäaschtbänkler is a Swiss band of new folk music.
The music group was founded in 2008 in Kriessern by five music colleagues Andreas Frei, Roman Wüthrich, Marco Graber, Michael Hutter and Roman Pizio. Three of the five band members studied music. The band lives in Switzerland in the border triangle Germany-Austria-Switzerland.
In 2012, the Fäaschtbänkler released their first CD, Oagasenn, on their own. In 2014 the second CD called Orgasmusik was released. With this sound carrier, the band landed in the iTunes album charts for the first time. The third album followed in September 2016, Mitten in die Scheibe, which entered the Swiss album charts at number 14. ith the following album Partyplanet, the Fäaschtbänkler managed to enter the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2018. Her folk music album Alpaland, which was released at the same time, celebrated successes with entries in the Swiss and Austrian album charts.
The single Glück (Mitten in die Scheibe) was classified in the folk music category in the German airplay charts for 28 weeks (several weeks at number 1). The title Irgendwo (Middle in the Disc) was also to be found in the German airplay charts for over 20 weeks, also at number 1 for several weeks. The song Can you english please from the same album advanced to a YouTube hit with over 15 million views (status : April 2020) and made it to number 5. In addition, World Full of Wonders (Partyplanet) was number 1 on the airplay charts for several weeks.
The Fäaschtbänkler have been working closely with the Rosenklang label, Martin Simma, since 2014, and since 2016 the collaboration with Rosenklang has been expanded to include booking in particular.
