Graduated in Bassoon Fabrizio Beggi started studying singing in 2009 under the guidance of Giovanni Mazzei.
After that he specialized at the Accademia Musicale di Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro under the guidance of Claudio Desderi, with whom he made his debut as Leporello in Mozart's Don Giovanni. Fabrizio Beggi is now specializing with Roberto Scaltriti and Carlo Meliciani. In 2011 he sang Amonasro in “La Fiaba di Aida” of Verdi's Aida: a project of Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
In 2011 he started the Ensemble Opera Studio at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where he made his debut in Donizetti’s Il Campanello (Don Annibale Pistacchio), in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (Marco and Maestro Spinelloccio), besides Juan Pons, in the world premiere of Coli’s Oz on the road (Zio Henry), and in Roméo et Juliette (Le Duc).
Fabrizio Beggi won the Toti Dal Monte prize in 2012 and after that he made his debut in Cimarosa's Matrimonio Segreto in Treviso, Ferrara and Rovigo. Mr. Beggi in the past seasons performed in Andrea Chènier, Don Carlo, Simon Boccanegra, Gianni Schicchi, Guillaume Tell (and on tour in Canada) and Rigoletto at the Teatro Regio in Turin; in Battistelli's Divorzio all'Italiana at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna; Rigoletto in Savona; La Cenerentola (Alidoro) in Ferrara and Treviso.
He started his collaboration with Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante with I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Reate Festival in Rieti and then in Händel's Imeneo (Argenio) at the Handel-Festspiele in Halle (cd recording by Glossa). Most recently, he took part in Tosca in Jesi and Fermo; Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna (Mariotti conducting and Vick directing); Madama Butterfly at the Terme in Caracalla in Rome; Leporello in Don Giovanni in Trieste under Gianluigi Gelmetti and sang as Bartolo at Fondazione Petruzzelli in Bari; revivals of I Capuleti e i Montecchi with Europa Galante in Warsaw and Bremen (Musikfesten). In the frame of his prolific collaboration with the Teatro Regio in Turin he had sang Le Nozze di Figaro (Bartolo), I Puritani, Casella’s La Donna Serpente and Simon Boccanegra on tour in Hong Kong.
Future plans include: Le Nozze di Figaro (Bartolo) in Naples; Il Turco in Italia (Selim) in Pavia, Cremona and Como and Rigoletto in Rome.
