Emanuel Graf, born in Frankfurt, studied cello with Wolfgang E. Schmidt in Dresden and Weimar and also completed masterclasses with David Geringas, Wolfgang Boettcher, Wen-Sinn Yang and Ana Chumachenco.
He has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Philharmonic of Baden-Baden, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Strings, the Kammerphilharmonie Baden-Württemberg, the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and performed as a soloist a. a. in the Berlin Philharmonic, the Semperoper in Dresden and the Liederhalle Stuttgart. In addition, he was solo cellist in the International Mahler Orchestra and in the season 2013/14 solo cellist at the Royal Danish Opera Copenhagen. Since 2015 he has been engaged in the same function in the Bavarian State Orchestra.
