The russian mezzo soprano ELENA ZHIDKOVA sang among others at the Deutschen Oper Berlin, at the Bayreuth Festival, at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the New National Theatre Tokyo, the Milan Scala, the Bolshoi Theater Moscow, the Mariinskij-Theater in St. Petersburg, at the Saito Kinen Festival, the Semperoper in Dresden and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Furthermore she has been heard among others in Sevilla, Lyon, Paris, Bogota, Oviedo, Frankfurt, Budapest, Geneva, Bilbao and Oslo.
Elena Zhidkova has performed among others Olga (Eugen Onegin), Cherubino (Nozze di Figaro) and Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Flosshilde, Schwertleite, Waltraute (Götterdämmerung), Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde), Principessa di Bouillon (Adriana Lecouvreur), Octavian (Rosenkavalier), Fricka (Ring des Nibelungen), Adriano (Rienzi), Judith (Herzog Blaubarts Burg), Ortrud (Lohengrin), Marie (Wozzeck), Venus (Tannhäuser), Kundry (Parsifal), Charlotte (Werther). Current projects include performances as Carmen, Fricka and Eboli. At the Wiener Staatsoper, the mezzo soprano gave her debut as Principessa di Bouillon and also sang Die fremde Fürstin (Rusalka) and Charlotte (at the Oman-Guest performance).
