ELENA GUSEVA was born in Kurgan, Siberia. She studied Choral Conducting at Schostakowitsch College of Music and later Vocal Studies at Moscow Conservatoire with Galina Pisarenko.
During her studies, the young singer gave her first performance and won several international competitions. She also took part in numerous masterclasses with the likes of Elizabeth Bice, Richard Bado, Gloria Guida Borelli, Diane Zola and Lenore Rosenberg. From 2009 Elena Guseva appeared on stage at the Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow as Mimì in La Bohème, Tatjana in Eugen Onegin, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly, Leonora in La forza del destino, Emma in Chowanschtschina, Antonia and Stella in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, amongst others. She has also sung at the Theatre in Saarbrücken and at the Hamburg State Opera (as Princess Jaroslawna in Prince Igor). Current projects for the singer include performances as the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Mimì) and at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse (Gerhilde in Die Walküre).
