Duccio Beluffi graduated in violin in Milan with Felice Cusano. He then graduated from the Superior Conservatory of Geneva under the guidance of Corrado Romano. At the Fiesole Music School he studied chamber music with Norbert Brainin, Stevan Gheorgyu, Dario De Rosa and Thomas Brandis. He studied string quartet with Franco Rossi. In 1997 he won the International Competition at the Teatro alla Scala in first place among the eligible.
Graduated in viola with honors in 2008, in the same year Duccio Beluffi won the Competition for Prima Viola at the Teatro S. Carlo in Naples. In 2009 he won the auditions, as first viola, at the Royal Scottisch National Orchestra of Glasgow and, as co-principal, at the London Philharmonic. Following this Duccio Beluffi was invited to collaborate with the Berliner Philharmoniker Camerata Ensemble. In 2012 he obtained the qualification as first viola (first and only suitable) at the Verona Arena Orchestra. In 2014 he won the post of Prima Viola Solista at the Teatre Liceu in Barcelona.
As a violist Duccio Beluffi played and recorded the Mozart quartets with flute with Franco Gulli and Sir James Galway and gave concerts with Salvatore Accardo in a string quintet.
