Douglas Victor Brown is from London. After studying at the University of Cambridge, he worked as a composer, pianist and lecturer in Coventry. From 1979-1982 he worked as a répétiteur, conductor and choirmaster in Pretoria / South Africa. After two years of engagement at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven, he was engaged as a solo reeditor to the Deutsche Oper Berlin. As a composer, Douglas V. Brown wrote mainly song cycles, dramatic scenes and opera scenes, cantatas, concertante works and children's plays. Last but not least, his Mord UND MITTERNACHT was to be experienced at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
