Dmitry MAYBORODA was born in 1993 in Moscow. 

From 2000 to 2011 he studied at the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Prof. Valery Pyasetsky and has been winner of several International competition such as «Jurmala – 2004» competition (1-st Prize), VI Television competition «Nutcracker» (Moscow, 2005, 1-st Prize), III Yaroslav competition «Alexey Nasedkin» (Yaroslavl, 2005, 1-st Prize), VII festival of Chamber music «Spring in Russia» division «Debut» (Moscow, 2006, 1-st Prize), VI International Tchaikovsky competition for young musicians (Suwon Korea, 2009), VII International F. Liszt competition (Moscow, 2010, Grand-Prix). In July 2011 he entered the Moscow State «P.I. Tchaikovsky» Conservatory.

Dmitry was participant of International Music Festivals in Rheingau (Germany, 2003), St-Petersburg (Russia, 2003), Nijniy Novgorod (Russia, 2005), «Crescendo» (Russia, 2006 and 2010), «Kissinger Klavier Olympiad» (Germany, 2007, 2008), «Mozart-Tchaikovsky» (Russia, 2008), «The young Kremlin musical” (Russia, 2008), Antalya, Turkey (2009), «Stars on Baykal lake» (Irkutsk, Russia, 2010).

He has performed with the symphony orchestras conducted by Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Spivakov, Dmitry Liss, Saulius Sondetskis, in addition to the Vienna Symphony Orchestra conducted by Christian Arming.

Since 2010 he is supported by the Serge Rachmaninoff Foundation as one of the most promising ambassadors of the music of the composer. This has brought Dmitry Mayboroda to make his debut in important festivals such as «Piano aux Jacobins» in Toulouse (France) and at the Ravinia Festival (US) in September 2011, at the «II White Lilacs Festival» in Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) in May 2012 and at the at the Winter Festival in Campos do Jordão (Brazil) in July 2012. He has also performed the Piano concerto nr. 1 by Serge Rachmaninoff with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra under Dima Slobodeniouk in November 2011.

Dmitry Mayboroda performed for the first time with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in October 2012 performing the Paganini Rhapsody under Darrell Ang and with the same work for his Italian debut in Turin, with the Filarmonica 900 del Teatro Regio under Yutaka Sado. In July 2013 he made his debut with the Mariinsky Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev performing the Piano concerto by Grieg in the frame of the Ljubliana Festival followed by his participation to two very important Rachmaninoff events with Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Rome (conducted by Alexander Sladkovsky) and with the Orchestre National de Belgique (conducted by Andrey Boreyko).

On December 29, 2013 he has been part of the historical concert celebration dedicated to Valery Piassetsky – one of the leading piano teachers of the Russian Piano School – by the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg under the baton of Valery Gergiev, featuring all his major pupils including Denis Matsuev.
