Since the tenor DMITRY KORCHAK won a prize at the Francisco Viñas-Competition in Barcelona in 2004 as well as two prizes at the Plácido Domingos Operalia Competition in Los Angeles, he has been on the big opera stages in the world, where he sings the important roles of his Fach.
Recent engagements have led him among others, to Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, the Milan Scala, to Los Angeles, Rome, Turin, Naples, Pesaro, Ravenna, Paris, Brussels, Valencia, the ROH Covent Garden, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Nederlandse Oper, the Berlin and Bayerische Staatsoper, the Semperoper and the Salzburg Festival. Future projects include among others Les Pêcheurs de perles at the Melbourne Opera, Don Giovanni at the Liceu, Werther at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, Il barbiere di Sivigliaat the Met and Hamburgischen Staatsoper. Dmitry Korchak is in demand as a concert singer and is a regular guest at the most renowned music halls as well as the big summer festivals. He gave his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2008 as Nemorino and has also sung Don Ottavio, Conte d’Almaviva, Ramiro and Lenski.
