Dmitry Alexandrovich Kurlyandsky (Russian Dmitry Alexandrovich Kurlyandsky; born June 9, 1976 in Moscow, USSR) is a Russian composer.
Kurlyandsky studied composition at the Moscow Conservatory under Leonid Bobylev.
He is a composer of solo, ensemble and orchestral works. He is a member of the Union of Composers of Russia, founder and editor-in-chief of the Russian magazine Tribune of Contemporary Music and co-founder of the composer group StRes. Since 2004, Kurlyandsky called his music "objective music", as "music without action and development, which, like a mechanism, goes in search of new sounds."
In 2014, the Perm Theater premiered his opera Nosferatu.
In 2003 he received the Compositional Prize of the Gaudeamus Foundation.
