David Santiago is a versatile lyric tenor whose repertoire ranges from Bel Canto to Verismo. A graduate of Mannes College of Music, he has performed under the baton of Maestro George Manahan in the Emmy Award winning production of La Boheme “Live from Lincoln Center” with the New York City Opera.

The 2018 season found David bringing Opera for the first time to High Point Market, NC, together with Soprano Stacy Dove in a concert titled “Bel Canto Gala”, presenting selections from Elizir D’Amore, Carmen, La Traviata and Cilea. Later that spring, he performed in Montclair, NJ in a concert titled “Classical Spain: Zarzuela & Opera”. David spent his summer savoring in the Oratorio Repertoire as a soloist for Masterwork Chorus performing the Mozart & Verdi Requiems, with music directors, Dr. Chris Shepard and Martin Sedek.

Tenor David Santiago launched the 2017 Spring Season with the Bravo Alliance of Performing Artists Opera Gala Concert. In May, he added the role of Jaquino in Beethoven’s Fidelio and later this fall he will revisit the role of Macduff in Verdi’s Macbeth.

"Your fabulous voice is matched by your effervescent personality and exceptional stage presence. You were outstanding in your acting, singing and phrasing. The audience's response was marvelous...they loved every minute you were on stage."

- Joanne Williams, President - Bravo Alliance of Performing Artists

In the 2015/2016 season, Tenor David Santiago appeared in the Concert Paris: Part 1 featuring French Composers Bizet, Massenet & Donizetti, of which the "St. Suplice" scene from Manon was a highlight.

He was cast for the tenor role in  Mozart’s Réquiem with Masterwork Chorus’ Summer Sings.  David ended the season with his debut as Alfredo in La Traviata in Atlantic City, NJ.

In past seasons, David made his Carnegie Hall debut (Weill Recital Hall), in an event sponsored by Operafest, LLC. An avid recitalist, David performed a variety of works, which have included Benjamin Britten’s Folk Songs of the British Isles and Richard Strauss’s 6 Lieder aus “Lotosblatter”. In addition, David has also sung a program which focused primarily on songs by Russian composers Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky.
