At the age of 17 he approaches African percussion with maestro Moussa Lo.
He owes his professional training to his teacher Lancei Dioubate and his brother Sourakhata Dioubate. Since 2004 he has performed in various formations of traditional African music and dance and experiences the encounter between different cultures and genres. He performs with internationally renowned masters throughout Italy and Europe. Parallel to percussion, he dedicated himself to traditional African melodic instruments, in particular the Kora (African harp), and studied electric bass at the Academy of Modern Music with maestro Stefano Cappa. He now resides in Florence and teaches traditional African percussion throughout Tuscany. He organizes artistic / cultural events including the Mama Africa Meeting Festival and is co-founder of the Magma Cirkus company.
