Daniel Beilschmidt is a German Organist. He has been a university organist of the University of Leipzig since 2009.
In 2009, Beilschmidt was appointed to the Office of the University organist of the University of Leipzig. From 2009 to 2015 he was assistant organist of the Thomas organist at the Thomaskirche Leipzig. Since the winter semester 2015/16 he is employed at the Church Music Institute of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig as an artistic employee.
Beilschmidt gave concerts as Organist in Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, Argentina and the USA. He played regularly with the Thomanerchor and Leipzigs together and played at the Bachfest Leipzig. He taught at the school of the Leipzig Thomanerchor and at the Evangelische Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Halle. His work focuses on Johann Sebastian Bach and Olivier Messiaen's organ work and Improvisation. He is also involved in organ music of the 20th and 21st century. 2013 appeared on his debut CD with Olivier Messiaen's Méditations sur le Mystère de la Sainte Trinité.
In may 2015 the Gewandhaus choir in Leipzig led the program of The silent war, with music by axe, Schmidt and four other composers. In the same year, he directed the theatrical vocal project "incoronata" with the Leipzig choir "Thonkunst" and in 2013 he founded the "Capella St. Pauli", in which people with and without disabilities, Franco-Flemish vocal let polyphony sounded.
Daniel Beilschmidt worked together with percussionist Nora Thiele and author Thomas Thieme. In October 2012, his music sounded to Megafon and remained in the Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche Leipzig-Connewitz. In August 2012, Beilschmidts was premiered for the great Silverman organ at the Freiberg Cathedral. Beilschmidt took part in the band project "Mud Mahaka" at. He's at home in Leipzig.
