The Choir of the Teatro de la Zarzuela was created in 1956 and has more than a hundred lyrical titles in its repertoire. He has sung countless performances of zarzuelas, ballets, operas and concerts, both at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, as well as national and international tours performed by this theater. He has also intervened in the assemblies of the Royal Theater of Madrid: Divine words, Las Golondrinas and La bohème.
 

Throughout its trajectory, the Choir has sung under the direction of teachers such as Lorin Maazel, Franz Paul Decker, Oliviero De Fabritiis, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Luis A. García Navarro, Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez, Lamberto Gardelli, Armando Gatto, Peter Maag, Odón Alonso, José Ramón Encinar, Josep Pons, Luis Remartínez, Miguel Roa, Antoni Ros Marbà, Arturo Tamayo and Cristóbal Soler among others. He has also worked under the stage direction of José Luis Alonso, John Cox, Piero Faggioni, Adolfo Marsillach, Pilar Miró, Giancarlo del Monaco, Francisco Nieva, José Carlos Plaza, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Emilio Sagi, Luis Olmos, Hugo de Ana, Giuseppe from Tommasi ...

He has released the operas Le Revenant, The poet, Kiu, The indiscreet traveler, Divine Words, La Celestina, A Babel and I, Dalí.

Among the zarzuelas it is worth mentioning their participation in Los vagabundos and Fuenteovejuna, both by Manuel Moreno Buendía and at the Don Quijote ballet, by Federico Moreno Torroba.

He has participated in both lyric concerts and symphonic-choral concerts. Among the recordings in which he has participated, it is worth mentioning El Gato Montés, Romanzas de zarzuela, together with the tenor Plácido Domingo, Il Farnace and La purple de la rosa.

Since its founding, the principal directors have been José José Perera, Romano Gandolfi, Vittorio Sicuri, Ignacio Rodríguez, Waldo Sciammarella and currently Antonio Fauró.
