Christof Hetzer (born 1976 in Salzburg) is an Austrian stage and costume designer.
Christof Hetzer, born in Salzburg, studied under Erich Wonder in the master class for stage and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Since 2001 he has worked as a freelance stage and costume designer for both drama and opera performances. He worked u. a. at the opera houses in Hamburg, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan, Copenhagen, Vienna, Dresden, Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris, London, Brussels, the Komische Oper and Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the festivals in Salzburg, Bayreuth, Bregenz and at the Ruhrtriennale , A close cooperation connects him u. a. with Pierre Audi, Stefan Herheim and David Hermann. At the Bavarian State Opera, he created the set for Miroslav Srnka's debut Make No Noise at the Opera Festival 2011 and collaborates on the stage design of Parsifal in the 2017/18 season.
