Children`s Choir of the Komische Oper Berlin Tickets

With its nearly 100 singers, the children’s choir has become an institution at the opera house. The wide age spectrum of participating children and young adults, between 6 and 18 years, contributes to the magical sonic diversity of the group. The children are given the chance to participate through dramatic and choreographic selected according to their ages and the requirements of any given piece. The diverse cultural backgrounds of our participants creates a unique feeling of togetherness that enriches and uplifts everyone involved.
Under the direction of Dagmar Fiebach, children and youths are prepared for the challenges and demands of performance through rehearsals that take place several times per week. Musical and dramaturgic work is regularly supplemented with professional voice training facilitated by singers from Berlin opera houses. In the 2018/19 season, our young singers will be featured in three premieres. They will also perform for the traditional children’s festival and appear for several concerts at the Komische Oper Berlin and on other stages throughout the city.
