Carlo Boccadoro is an Italian pianist, composer and musicologist.
Graduated in piano and percussion instruments, he studied jazz improvisation technique with maestro Giorgio Gaslini. He is considered one of the most famous contemporary Italian composers. Author of symphonic and chamber music, he writes music for theatre and dance, collaborating regularly with Moni Ovadia. He also works as a musician as a divulgator and musicologist. His writings have been published by EDT, Garzanti, Marcos Y Marcos and Longanesi. It is one of the founders, together with Filippo Del Corno and Angelo Miotto, of the cultural project Sentieri selvaggi, contemporary music ensemble in residence at the teatro Elfo Puccini in Milan, from 14 years on the international music scene with a number of holdings at the most prestigious musical seasons in italy and abroad. In 2018 he succeeded Jeffrey Swann as Artistic Director of the concerts of the Normale di Pisa.
