The Canterini Romagnoli society of Ravenna, Gruppo Corale Pratella Martuzzi, was established in 1961 to collect, maintain and pass on the Romagna folklore and the cultural-recreational activities that, with modern times, tend to disappear.
The living force of the company is the caoral group, composed of 6 mixed sections for a total of 42 Canterini, which contributed to the corporate purpose with the engraving of 7 volumes, the last 2 with the direction of M ° Matteo Unich, director of choral. He has performed concerts throughout Italy and abroad (Germany, France, England, Poland, Yugoslavia). About 30 concerts are performed every year. By tradition, at the end of November it participates in Ostia Antica in the celebrations in memory of the 'Scariolanti Romagnoli' reclaimers of the Roman coast. The most important annual productions are: Il Trebbo, in June, La Rumagna Int E Tu Cor 'on December 26th. Another initiative of the company, aimed at maintaining and enhancing folklore to a wider audience, is the biennial 'Competition for Cante Romagnole' (11th edition). Since 2002, the Company has been promoting courses of carnal singing in the schools of the province of Ravenna with the teaching of Matto Unich, director of our choral group, and the collaboration of the Canterini.
